Passion play

A young girl anoints the body of Jesus with an expensive perfumed oil, receiving criticism from some of the disciples but praise from Jesus. Gary Sidloski plays Jesus Christ in "The Mystery of the Passion of Christ" while Desiree Smith plays the young girl. The passion play, performed by the parishioners of St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, is scheduled to play once more at 7:30 p.m. on Good Friday at McKenna Hall. Free tickets are available at the church rectory office or from various businesses.

University Women's club banner

Vera Bissett holds up the banner for the Weyburn chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women for fellow members Judy Buzowetsky and Lillian Torkelson to see. All three women are past presidents and longtime members of the organization for women university graduates, which began in Weyburn 45 years ago.

 

Have you hugged a bunny today?

Hold on tight - like April and Miles Dammann, who are trying to keep three squirming bunnies in their arms. These bunnies were born on Trevor and Marie Dammann's farm near Griffin in February and soon they'll be helping out the Easter Bunny when he brings treats on Easter Sunday, April 12.
