Getting ready for the Fair

Marla May uses a hot-air dryer to prepare this calf for grooming after it had been washed down by her brother and sister on Saturday. The May family are members of the Weyburn 4-H Beef Club which will have its achievement day on Sunday, June 28 at the Weyburn exhibition grounds. Preparations like these are a common sight for 4-H members, as about 15 4-H clubs from the southeast will converge on the Weyburn Fair at the biggest 4-H show in the province. The fair runs from Monday, June 29 until Wednesday, July 1.
