Preparing the shot

A camera crew man sets a camera at a different angle
to capture a scene from Revenge of the Land, a mini-series being
filmed northwest of Radville at the Brooking elevator. Behind
him, other crew members and local assistants keep a steam engine
ready for a shot of a threshing bee. The crew of Revenge wrapped
up shooting in the area on Tuesday.

A mysterious set of spots

Marg Erickson kneels to one side of a crop circle
in a wheat field northwest of Midale last week. The circle was
matched by two more of equal size and of equal distance apart
along a rural road. A second set of similar circles and a solitary
third circle were also recently discovered in the area. Rick
Holm, a professor in the plant sciences department at the University
of Saskatchewan, remains skeptical as to their origin. Holm said
circles such as these that look perfectly round are probably
hoaxes. |
