Santa leads 56 bikers

Santa is pulled by his lead elf down Third Street during the 10th Annual Toy Run held in Weyburn on Saturday. Fifty-six bikers assembled for the largest Toy Run put on by the Weyburn Independent Riders. The Riders stuffed Santa's sack and later he left with an overflowing sleigh of toys. Toy Run organizer Russ Moe said close to $1,000 was also collected for the Salvation Army.

Table O' Plenty

Parent volunteers Shauna Irwin and Susan Lawrence, at left, man the heavily-laden table of fresh vegetable produce and home baking at Haig School's fruit, veggie and flower sale held on Wednesday. At right, teacher Eileen Pachkowsky watches as students Jordan Jones, Chelsea Kwochka, Raquel Ryan and Sydney Ashworth look over the wide selection. The sale raised $200 for the Junior Red Cross, and the balance went to the Home and School Association's general fund.
