'Nowhere to Hide' for one of Canada's most wanted criminals

Community newspapers across Canada are being asked to participate in a collective effort to catch one of Canada's most wanted.

Spearheaded by the Ontario Community Newspapers Association, this special one-time effort is being called "Nowhere to Hide."

Publishers and editors at all CCNA-member newspapers in Canada are being asked to run this camera-ready public service campaign to find a murder suspect who has been on the run for 15 years.

Dennis Melvyn Howe is wanted on a first-degree murder warrant in the death of nine-year-old Sharin Morningstar Keenan.

This is one of Canada's most notable unsolved murder cases where the suspect is known.

Sharin went missing from her neighbourhood park in Toronto on Jan. 23, 1983. Her body was discovered in a rooming house refrigerator on Feb. 1, 1983.

Police believe the suspect, now 57, has assumed a new identity and is living in Canada, possibly in a rural community. He is a drifter and handyman who had five known aliases by the time of the murder.

If you have any information that could lead to Howe's arrest, please contact your local police department.
