Handling a hunter
A European goshawk gingerly steps on the gloved hand

Roczniak, from Freelton, Ont., joined around 30 other falconry
enthusiasts in Weyburn last week for the biennial Canadian Falcon
Meet held from Oct. 5 to 10. Due to the long drive from southern
Ontario, he stayed on another week to do some more hunting with
his goshawk and a peregrine falcon in the Weyburn area. Falconers
converged on Weyburn from all across Canada and the U.S., along
with visitors from Scotland, England and South Africa.
