Eagles fan Alex Roy shows some support for the Weyburn Comprehensive School Boys volleyball team during their District final with Estevan Thursday evening. Both the Boys and Girls Eagles teams advanced to the provincials by defeating their rivals in two best-of-five matches at the Comp.

 Mmm, yummy snow!

 Kennedy Rainey has a taste of the first snow of the winter at the Soo Line Day Care, while playmates Noah Giesbrecht, Teneal Soanes and Chelsey Schiller pick up some snow to throw or taste on their own. The youngsters had a lot of the white stuff to play with last week, as over 10 centimetres fell on Weyburn and area, and more to the south, on Nov. 9 and 10, along with another eight cm. over the weekend, bringing in the new winter season with a bang.
