Holy sky gazers, look at those dogs!

Stunning sundogs hover over Weyburn during a cold and
windy Wednesday afternoon. Sundogs are caused by a reflection
of light from ice crystals falling through the air. Prairie winters
are usually not moist enough for water crystals to reach higher
levels in the atmosphere. This winter has however, been moist
enough to boost water crystals into the upper reaches of the atmosphere,
creating large, luminous and long-lasting sundogs.
