Old-time spinning at museum

Marlene Ronsman works a spinning wheel to make thread
the way it used to be made a century ago, during the Soo Line
Museum's Heritage Day open house on Monday afternoon. This wheel
can be found in the museum's collection, and Ronsman said it is
in excellent shape with very little wear. She also demonstrated
a loom that is 150 years old, and a great wheel bought in 1876.
Numerous demonstrations were held throughout the museum, including
rope-making, wood-carving and ice cream-making.
