A pancake and sausage brunch is planned for Sunday, Feb. 28 at the Weyburn Elks Hall, to help Kevin Donald, a McTaggart resident battling cancer.
The brunch will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., upstairs at the hall, at a cost of $5 per plate. All proceeds from this fund-raiser will go to Kevin Donald and his family, to help cover the costs associated with the medical treatment.
Donald is entering his third battle with Hodgkin's lymphona, and will be undergoing a stem-cell transplant, one of 20 Saskatchewan residents who will be taking the treatment which involves a strong form of chemotherapy. The treatment will wipe out his immune system, and doctors will then harvest new white cells.
