Learning a Chinese art

Queen Elizabeth students watch instructor Rick Engel, of ASEC International, demonstrate a traditional Chinese style of painting bamboo plants on Thursday morning. The students are, from left, K.C. McCormick, Roman Vogel, Alexa Olson, Kristen Hallberg and Julie-Anne Paslawski. Engel put on a number of sessions throughout the day on Japanese and Chinese culture, including sumo wrestling from Japan, Chinese poems and a Chinese game called Dan Qiu.
