The Weyburn Golf Club is inviting local golfers to a double celebration on Sunday, May 30 when they host their 80th anniversary and the grand opening of their new clubhouse complex.
The official ribbon-cutting is at 3:30 p.m. and will be followed by a number of barbecue specials and tours of the new restaurant, lounge and fully-stocked pro shop.
There are also a variety of new features and services for the Weyburn club this year. They include new tee-off booking procedures which will ensure that club members may book as many as three days in advance while non-members may book two days ahead, and club repairs such as re-gripping, re-shafting and club fitting which are now part of the pro shop's services.
Resident pro Rod Carroll will be offering both private and group lessons this season. Anyone seeking information on these and other services can contact the Weyburn Golf Club pro shop.
