Oilpatch sentinel

An oil pumpjack is silhouetted by the setting sun at
Weyburn recently, throwing a familiar shape into profile. The
pumpjack is from PanCanadian's first well in the Weyburn field,
now retired and on display in Tatagwa Parkway, along with an explanatory
plaque giving the history and location of the original oil well.
Check inside today's edition of the Weyburn Review, as we present
our special tabloid, Black Gold, featuring stories and photos
on the oil industry in the Weyburn and surrounding area. The tabloid
is produced to commemorate the 8th biennial Saskatchewan Oil and
Gas Show, which will take place June 9 and 10 at the Weyburn Exhibition
Grounds.
