The theft of a pickup truck from a Weyburn-area farm, along with the theft of a car out of Estevan, is under investigation by the Weyburn RCMP and Estevan Police Service, with the help of the Weyburn Police Service.
Police report that a red Pontiac Sunbird was stolen sometime after 9 p.m. on June 8 from Estevan, and was abandoned near the farm of Cliff Anderson, located four miles south of Weyburn.
A maroon and beige extended cab Chevrolet pickup was stolen from Anderson's farm sometime before 7 a.m. on June 9, and at last report on Tuesday the truck was still missing.
Information on these two thefts have been sent to all area RCMP detachments and municipal police forces, and the public is being asked to assist.
Also the Weyburn city police reported a break-and-enter took place over the weekend to the SaskEnergy office on Railway Avenue. Sometime between Saturday night and Sunday morning, the office was broken into, the safe was pried open and a small amount of cash was taken. Some damage was done to the property in the incident, but no estimate was available on Tuesday.
If anyone has any information about any of these thefts or the break-in, they are asked to contact the Weyburn RCMP, or local police service, or the toll-free Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers line at 1-800-222-8477.
