New teachers for Weyburn area schools

Several new teachers will grace the halls of Weyburn-area schools this year.

The Weyburn School Division Comprehensive Board has hired 14 new teachers.

Five of these teachers will work at Weyburn Jr. High School; Scott Adelman came to Weyburn from Grenfell, Pat Craven formerly taught at Coronach High School, Kevin Folk is filling in on a temporary contract, Renee Rabe taught in Lampman and Brent Tiffen taught in North Battleford.

Weyburn Comprehensive School has four new teachers; Marguerite Blain came to Weyburn from Frontier, Brent Castle is the new vice-principal having served as principal at Wadena Composite High School, Jodi Milbrandt came from Kenaston and James Roberstson taught at Plenty before coming to Weyburn.

Assiniboia Park School has two new teachers, Angela Guest from Goodeve School and Mark Pachikora, who taught in Kuwait for the past two years.

Myrtle Headley and Tricia Miller are new employees to Region 1 West Shared Services Bureau. Headley is an educational psychologist, Miller is a speech and language pathologist.

Stacey Moffat joins the staff at Haig School from the Scenic Valley School Division.

Weyburn Roman Catholic Seperate School Division has one new teacher at St. Michael's School; Randy Morrison joins the staff in the fall.

Stoughton Central School will have two new teachers: Trina Smyth and Leah Cugnet. Smyth will teach kindergarten, while Cugnet will teach computer education and accounting.

The Weyburn Central School Division repored that Griffin will host one new teacher; Tracy Renauld will teach grades 4,5 and 6.

In Yellow Grass, Nicole Lipinski will serve as a maternity-replacement teacher.

No new teachers were hired in Francis by the Regina East School Division.
