Turning the sod for $20M expansion

The sod is turned for Alcatel Canada Wire's new $20
million expansion by Mayor Don Schlosser, MLA Judy Bradley, Deputy
Premier Dwain Lingenfelter and Alcatel vice-president Brian Tinkler
on Monday afternoon. Alcatel plant manager John Murray, at far
right, was the emcee for the announcement. The expansion will
double the plant's current capacity, and when it's up and running
will add 60 new jobs. Construction is expected to begin this week.
