
Facing the media

Saskatchewan Party leader Elwin Hermanson fields questions
from members of the media on hand for a health care forum held
in Weyburn on Tuesday morning. The forum was hosted with Weyburn-Big
Muddy candidate Brenda Bakken, with comments and questions brought
by members of the public. Hermanson did some campaigning with
Bakken in the afternoon before heading to Estevan.

A sharp turn

Tegan Marshall of Yellow Grass takes her horse for
a sharp turn during the pole bending competition at the Weyburn
High School Rodeo, Saturday at the Exhibition Grounds. Parents
and spectators came out to watch competitors from grades 9 to
12 in 10 events. In pole bending, riders wind their way through
a line of five poles, trying not to knock them down in the fastest
time possible. The high school rodeo was held in conjunction
with the professional rodeo that took place Saturday and Sunday.
