Mike Mann's athletic talents are vast and varied.

"I like to play water polo, baseball, golf and football," said Mann who now plays for the Weyburn Junior Eagles under-13 football team.

Mann started to play golf when he was seven. This was the first sport Mann played.

"My father made a small course in our backyard," said Mann. "It was not a very big course, but that is where I started to play."

Mann enjoys playing so many sports because its fun. He also says that he can take other experiences away with him for the rest of his life.

"Sports are important because they are good exercise," said Mann. "It also teaches you how to be a better person."

Mann also noted another important life skill he has learned through playing sports.

"I learn sportsmanship by playing sports," said Mann. "That's important because I know how to play with other people."

The Weyburn Christian Academy student likes to watch the Toronto Blue Jays.

"I've been a fan for a long time," said Mann. "They are a Canadian team."

Mann also watches the Saskatchewan Roughriders, even though they are having a tough time winning games this year.

"I would like to play for the Riders," said Mann. "But I would rather play in the NFL because you get more money."
