Lantern parade

These three girls and close to 150 other participants stroll down Second Street during a lantern festival and parade on Friday night. From left are, Kellie Stadler, Aubrey Bangsund and Janet Stadler. The girls paraded their lanterns from the courthouse to the Allie Griffin Museum where artwork from the Primary School of Northeast Normal University, Changchun, Jilin province, China, is being displayed. The idea for the lantern festival came from a pairing of the Assiniboia Park School with the Chinese school.
