
Large crowds for fowl supper

Large crowds of Weyburn residents and visitors eat
their Thanksgiving meal at the World's Largest Fowl Supper, held
as a fund-raiser for the Weyburn Performing Arts Society at the
Weyburn Comprehensive School, Sunday. There were 1,641 hungry
people fed during five sittings. Entertainment at the event was
provided by Celtic band the Barra MacNeils and Regina's Squeeze
of Scotch.

Comp Eagles defender Andrew Broccolo reverses himself
to try to stop Notre Dame ball carrier Mike Scheibel, during
a match between the teams on Thursday afternoon. The visiting
Notre Dame College players had little difficulty in advancing
their plays on Weyburn, and the host Eagles dropped the match
32-0 at the Eagles' Aerie. |
