Weyburn's agriculture community will be saluted Monday, Nov. 1 at the 15th Annual Farmer Appreciation Night.

The event, sponsored by the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce, is designed to give the business community and general public a chance to say "thank-you" to the contributions made by area producers.

Supper will begin at 7 p.m. at McKenna Hall. In lieu of a guest speaker, this year's entertainment will feature Calgary comedian Dan Gaskon.

The night will also feature the presentation of the Chamber's Golden Sheaf award.

"The award is based on the contribution to and participation in the agricultural scene and community life. It recognizes excellence in farmer achievement and fostering rural/urban understanding and consideration," said Chamber spokeswoman Jacqueline Garbutt.

Nomination forms are available until Oct. 20 at the Chamber office and in the offices of Weyburn and surrounding area RMs.

Tickets for the evening are available from the Chamber of Commerce for $20.
