Kaila Weimer keeps very busy, playing four sports aside from her other interests.

"I play hockey, volleyball, basketball and baseball," said Weimer.

The Grade 7 student at Weyburn Junior High started playing hockey and baseball when she began Grade 1. Her interest in volleyball and basketball came in Grade 4.

"I started playing hockey at younger age because my dad helped start girl's hockey in Weyburn," said Weimer. "That sounded really interesting, so I gave it a try."

Her father Doug is given the most credit for helping Kaila become a better player.

Hockey is Kaila's favorite sport. She plays left wing in the Weyburn minor girls hockey system.

"There are no boring parts to hockey," she said. "There is always something happening."

Weimer plays the other sports for her own enjoyment.

"I spend most of my time playing sports," said Weimer. "I play other sports because they are fun."

Aside from her varied sporting interests, Weimer enjoys playing and listening to music.
