Ready for Remembrance Day

Master Corporal Mark Fish holds a tray of poppies as Legion executive member and poppy chairman Allan Day gets a poppy pinned on by Cadet Andrew Pilon. The poppies were sold on Poppy Day on Saturday to remind area residents of Remembrance Day on Thursday, Nov. 11. The service will begin with the parade to the cenotaph at 10:45 a.m. with two minutes of silence at 11 a.m., followed by the service inside the Legion Hall. The keynote speaker this year is Dr. John Archer, a veteran, historian and professor at the University of Regina.
