A former Weyburn Comprehensive graduate, Ted Schouten, has been named an executive of a major software company.

He was named vice-president and Chief Financial Officer of Electronic Arts for Europe, Latin America and Africa, and he will be relocating to London, England, early in 2000 to take up his new position.

Electronic Arts is a leading interactive entertainment software company based in San Francisco, Calif.

Schouten, the son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Schouten, formerly of Weyburn and now of North Delta, B.C., attended school at St. Dominic Savio, St. Michael Junior High and the Comp, and at one time was a paper carrier for the Weyburn Review.

He went on to graduate from the University of Saskatchewan in 1978 with a Bachelor of Commerce, and from the University of Toronto in 1983 with his Masters of Business Administration. Schouten has held senior executive positions with General Electric in Toronto, and more recently with Sara Lee Corporation in Toronto, the U.K., Chicago and Los Angeles.
