Approximately 40 per cent of the Health and Fitness Lottery tickets have been sold, says South Central Health District Foundation co-ordinator Gail Mehler. "We are quite happy with that," said Mehler. "But there are 41 draws left to make. We need people to keep buying tickets to bring the largest benefit to health care in Weyburn." To help out in the sale of tickets, The Weyburn Red Wings and South Central Health District Foundation committee members will be going door-to-door to sell lottery tickets. The foundation is also organizing a telemarketing strategy to help in the sale of tickets. "If you receive a phone call from a representative selling Health and Fitness Lottery Tickets, it is legitimate," said Mehler. "Telemarketing is a way for us to reach people who do not have a ticket and encourage them to purchase one. It is also a way for us to thank those who have already bought a ticket." The draw for the 41 prizes available, including a $100,000 grand prize will take place during the Saturday, Nov. 27 Weyburn Red Wing game against the Melville Millionaires. To be eligible for all prizes, you must have purchased your ticket by midnight, Friday, Nov. 26. |
