Mailing grain to Ottawa

A farmer drops off a sack of his grain, along with pails and sacks of oats, wheat and barley left on the front steps of the Weyburn post office on Tuesday afternoon as a protest of Ottawa's inaction to help Prairie farmers. Around 25 area farmers left the silent protest at the post office, some with messages for the prime minister and others addressed to the federal government.

Showing Weyburn's lights

Members of the Pickering family participate in the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce Festival of Lights parade on Thursday. Riding on the Emily Jane Enterprises float from left are, Michelle Pickering, Chantelle Pickering, Shirley Pickering and Val Pickering. Over 2,000 people lined the parade route this year.
