Kristopher Frisk

Kristopher Frisk is an avid soccer and hockey player, and fortunately for him, the two seasons do not conflict.

Frisk says he played halfback on the Pee Wee Co-op soccer team this summer and the team was very successful.

"We only played two games and we won them both," says the twelve-year-old student at Weyburn Junior High. Frisk says he plans to play soccer again this summer.

When the chill in the air drives players off the soccer pitch, this young athlete gears up for hockey.

This year he's playing right wing and centre in the Pee Wee division. He says his season started off on the right foot.

"We won both of our games," he tells. "One was 7-2 and one was 5-1."

When asked what he likes most about hockey, Frisk answers without hesitating.

"Games and contact," he says, but concedes that he's not a really big hitter.

Frisk tells that Sergei Federov of the Detroit Red Wings is his favourite player and explains it this way:

"He's fast and I like the moves he does."

If Frisk had to choose his favourite sport, he'd pick hockey; but that could change if he gets involved in basketball at the Junior High this winter.
