While Southeast Regional College winter semester registrations close on Monday, Jan. 9, the college is already seeing increased enrolments. At press time, 182 registrations were received for Weyburn courses, an increase of 12 from the fall semester. "It's wonderful news," said Southeast Regional College university co-ordinator Lyn Kot."There was one change in that we are sharing three classes with our Estevan office. For accounting purposes, two of those classes are considered Weyburn classes. Six registrations came from those classes." Most of the winter registrations came in the two weeks leading up to the Christmas holiday. Students can still register for classes up to the deadline on Monday, Jan. 9. Textbooks should be available for students to purchase on Thursday, Jan. 6 and Friday, Jan. 7. "The books are not here yet," said Kot. "They should have been here by now." Students are reminded the regular winter class schedules begin on Monday, Jan. 10. |
