To inform women of heart and stroke health issues, the Heart and Stroke Foundation will host a seminar at the Wheatland Seniors Centre on Friday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m.

If you are a woman at risk for either heart disease or stroke, high blood pressure or have a family history of heart disease and/or stroke, you are encouraged to attend the seminar.

The seminar will help women learn what the risk factors are and how they can control them.

Pre-registration is required for the seminar. For more information or to register, contact the Community Care branch of the Weyburn General Hospital.

The Heart and Stroke Foundation will also be canvassing Weyburn from Sunday, Feb. 13 to Tuesday, Feb. 15. The canvassing effort takes place during the foundation's annual Heart Month and is one of its major fund-raising efforts each year.

Businesses in Weyburn will also be canvassed throughout the month of February.
