Battle for the slot

Red Wing defenceman James Douglas and a Notre Dame player fight for position in front of Red Wing goaltender Terry Denike during Game 5 of their South Division semifinal at the Colosseum on Wednesday. The Red Wings won this battle, but lost the game 2-1 in double-overtime. Over 1,000 people were in attendance at this game.

Dancing up a storm

Junior members of the Verhoy Ukrainian Dancers perform a routine during Folkarama at Knox Hall on Saturday. In the back from left are Milan Thompson and Alana Parlee. In the front from left are Nolan Schultz and Dane Colbow. Romanian, Scottish, Austrian dancers and an Austrian band, all from Regina, also performed at the one-day multicultural festival.
