A crowd of Creelman residents watches as Eric Loucks
breaks on the pool table, during the grand opening of the Creelman
Park and Rec. Board's Resource Room on Saturday afternoon in
the former Creelman School. The pool table is estimated to be
at least 60 years old, formerly located in the old billiards
and barber shop on Creelman's main street by Charlie Loucks.
The Resource Room includes Loucks' barber chair and mirror, a
book exchange, a snack bar plus three computer stations giving
public access to the Internet. The pool table's wooden frame
and legs and slate are all original, as are the snooker balls
on the table; the table was recovered in new felt and new pockets
added on. |
