Weyburn resident Garth White got a welcome surprise Friday night with a perfect cribbage hand during a private game with friend Tom Dawson.

White told his friend he "wouldn't believe it" after the hand was dealt, and as the hand ended, Dawson looked surprised to see a 29-hand was there.

With three fives and a jack of diamonds in the hand, the five of diamonds turned up on the deck to make the nibs count.

This is the second time White has the rare perfect hand - the last time was 25 years ago.
