Breaking $40,000
Don Pokletar affixes the new sticker to the Weyburn
Public Library's fund-raising sign on Wednesday afternoon, as
board chair Isabelle Butters and Mel Hoffman of the Weyburn Credit
Union look on. A donation by the Credit Union of $6,000, along
with proceeds from the spring book sale of $2,437, raised the
total so far to $43,192. The fund-raising is to help the library
for its share of the costs to build an addition to the library,
with the ultimate goal of $100,000 for the library's share of
the costs.
