Weyburn police investigate four break-ins to businesses

The Weyburn Police Service is investigating a number of break-and-enters in the city, and members are asking for the help of residents who may have any information that may help.

A break-in was reported at the Subway restaurant on June 7, with entry gained through the front door. Some cash was stolen.

An attempted break-in occurred at the Fas Gas on Sims Avenue on June 19.

A male suspect wearing a light-coloured coat and dark bunny hug smashed out the glass in the front door, and then ran away from the scene.

On June 21, a break-in was reported at Souris School. A window by the main doors was broken out, and the culprits stole a small amount of cash from inside.

The same night, a break-in occurred at Lawrence Financial Group on Fourth Street in Weyburn. A rear window was broken, and two laptop computers, a Dell and a Toshiba, were stolen.

If anyone has information on any of these crimes, they can contact the city police, or call the toll-free Crime Stoppers tips line at 1-800-222-8477.

Calls which lead to the arrest of a culprit or culprits are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000. Calls are not traced or recorded, and Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display.
