Bringing home supper

Weyburn's Jackie Gibson (left) along with friend Sydney Smith enjoy all that Nickle Lake has to offer as they return to their campsite proud of their catch and anxious for dinner, Friday. The park has been packed with campers in the past week spending time in the great outdoors while enjoying the 30 C-plus weather.

Lingering thoughts

Members of the band Linger ponder their upcoming performance while chilling on the steps of city hall. The band includes, from left, drummer Cody Johnson, guitarist Ernie Traub, guitarist Brian McKechnie, vocalist/keyboardist/guitarist David Roman (in front of McKechnie) and bass guitarist Victor Roman. The Weyburn band will compete against three other bands on Thursday, August 3 at Buffalo Days in Regina at 8:30 p.m. with the chance to play in the finals on Saturday and the possibility of opening for The Tea Party on Sunday.
