The Toy Run goes downtown

Over 65 motorcycles form an impressive convoy up Third Street for the 12th annual Toy Run organized by the Weyburn Independent Riders on Saturday afternoon. The ride was held in memory of Ed Cugnet, with riders bringing toys and cash donations for the Salvation Army's Christmas hamper program at the run's conclusion at River Park. Riders came from Weyburn, Carlyle, Estevan, Moose Jaw, Congress and Arcola. Many of the riders present were friends of Cugnet, who was born and raised in Weyburn. The Riders gave a plaque to his parents, Heather and Jerry Cugnet, and the Cugnets gave a donation in their son's name to the Salvation Army.
