The Weyburn Police Service is investigating a pair of break-ins over the weekend, a smaller number than the police have had in recent weeks. The Weyburn youth centre, located in the parking lot by the Tom Zandee Sports Arena, was broken into sometime Friday night or Saturday morning. A window was smashed out to gain entry, and a few electronic items were stolen. Weyburn Tractor was broken into sometime over the weekend and the damage was found on Monday morning, said police, with entry gained through one of the back doors. The culprit or culprits appeared to have taken very little in this break-and-enter, said police, but the inventory is being checked by store staff. Police are asking if anyone has information about either of these offences, or any serious offence, to call the city police or the toll-free Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers tips line at 1-800-222-8477. Callers do not have to reveal their identity, and Crime Stoppers does not subscribe to call display. Calls which lead to an arrest are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000. |
