A 28-year-old Lang resident, Rene Lane Panasiuk, will be back in Regina provincial court on Oct. 31 following his arrest in a drug raid on a Lang-area home.

Members of the Regina Integrated Drug Unit made a search of his residence, and he made a first appearance in a Regina court on Oct. 17.

He is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and production of cannabis resin.

The police seized more than 31 kilograms, or 70 pounds, of marijuana and equipment for the production of cannabis resin.

Panasiuk was released after his court appearance.
