Happy in victory

Roy and Helen Bailey share a laugh while speaking to his supporters at the Weyburn Inn on Monday night, celebrating his landslide victory in the federal election. The Alliance candidate was returned to his seat in Parliament with 63 per cent of the votes, or 19,215, trouncing his nearest rival, Tom Cameron of the NDP, who had 4,752 votes, and Liberal Myles Fuchs with 4,442 votes. Enjoying the decorations

Credit Union staff members Judy Ashworth and Michelle Unick check some of the intricately-decorated Christmas trees on display in the lobby of the Wealth Management Centre. There are 14 trees decorated by various community organizations and businesses, along with several wreaths, and they will all go on the auction block tonight, Nov. 29, starting at 7:30 p.m., with all proceeds going to the Mini-Go program hosted at the Family Place.
