The Midale Prosper Sabres doubled up on the Regina Sharks 10-5 in an exhibition match played on Sunday at the Midale Civic Arena. Tory Miller struck twice in the first period, assisted both times by Dustin Stepp and Brennan Wrigley, and he returned the favour by twice assisting Brennan Wrigley score goals, to give the Sabres a 4-1 lead going into the second period. Tyson Herlick, assisted by Cahlan Arnold, and Preston Erickson, scoring unassisted, added to the Sabres' total along with Brennan Wrigley unassisted, and two goals from Dustin Stepp, assisted twice by Wrigley and once by Arnold. The Sharks added two goals in the period, and two more in the third period, but it wasn't nearly enough as the Sabres capped off the scoring with their tenth goal, an unassisted effort by Cahlan Arnold. Kraymer Barnstable played in goal for the Sabres. The next action for the Midale Sabres will be on Sunday, Dec. 3 at Midale, a league game against the Assiniboia Chiefs. |
