Caught driving safe

Gordon Button is stopped in front of the Weyburn Police Station by Const. Melinda Mintenko, Ed Engele of the Weyburn and Area Safety Council and Ken Kot, president of the Weyburn Red Wings. Button was "ticketed" with a free pass to a Weyburn Red Wings game for his good driving practices. Weyburn residents were stopped periodically throughout the day, Friday, for good driving as part of Safe Driving Week, Dec. 1-7. Fifty free tickets were given away.

Bumping a serve

St. Dominic Savio player Jennifer Fohr bumps the volleyball from a serve by Haig School, after reaching the ball before Kayle Bellaire at right; Maegan Biss is watching the play at left. St. Dominic defeated Haig, and were later defeated by Souris. The girls A-side champions were from Queen Elizabeth School.
