Three arrested, charged with three break-ins in city Nov. 28

Three people were arrested and charged in relation to break, enter and theft in three locations in Weyburn recently, and charges are pending in another case where stolen property was recovered.

City police charged two young offenders, aged 16 and 17, plus an adult, with possession of stolen property and break-and-enter to the Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, a house on Fifth Street north, and from the Old Dutch storage trailer.

The incidents took place on Nov. 28, and the trio will make their first court appearance on these charges on Dec. 18.

City police recovered two stolen snowmobiles and a snowmobile trailer on Friday, and charges are pending as the investigation continues. The machines and the trailer were stolen from Regina on Nov. 4.

City police are investigating a break, enter and theft from the PFRA storage garage on Nov. 30. The garage was entered and a 1994 blue Yamaha four-by-four quad was stolen.

Investigators feel this may be linked to the theft of a truck the same night in the Weyburn RCMP detachment area, and the investigation is continuing.
