Scientists tour PanCanadian

An international group of chemical engineers and research scientists listen as Dave Craigen, community relations liaison for PanCanadian, explains the set up in the recycled compressor building as part of the carbon dioxide miscible flood project, during a tour on Thursday. The compressors in this building will reinject the carbon dioxide once it's gone through the oilfield, and will recycle the gas at a pressure of 14,500 kilopascals or 2,100 pounds per square inch. The plastic bags over the fittings are to check for any minute leaks of carbon dioxide, as part of the commissioning of the new equipment at PanCanadian's plant near Goodwater.
