International of Weyburn Community Service Award winner Linda
Rudachyk and SaskPower Workplace Excellence Award winner Shelley
Hippe at the conclusion of the Women of the Year Awards luncheon,
Wednesday afternoon at McKenna Hall. Ledingham, Rudachyk and
Hippe were selected from 28 nominees for the first-ever awards
ceremony recognizing the achievements of women. For related story

St. Michael's Gender War winners

A group of girls enjoy their ice cream treats Friday
as victors in the Gender War challenge at St. Michael Junior
High School. Students and staff worked to bring the greatest
amount of pennies, but the least amount of other coins, as a
fund-raiser for SRC activities at the school. The girls won out
in the end, and enjoyed a free period as well as their treats
outside, while the boys continued with class inside. |
