Coun. Ray Hamm lends a foot to Health Minister John
Nilson and South Central Health District chair Ernest Elder's
efforts in turning the sod on Coulter Field Friday afternoon,
shortly after Nilson announced a commitment of $13.125 million
from the province towards the facility's construction. Representatives
of the the city and rural municipality were also at the official
sod-turning ceremony for Tatagwa View, which, including cost
of furnishing and equipment, carries a total price-tag of $19.7
million. |

St. Dominic Savio School Grade 1 student Jordan Johner
receives some help tightening the straps on his helmet from South
Central Health District brain injury co-ordinator Debbie Donald
while waiting for inspection of his bike. The school's Bike Roadeo
was held on Prairie Avenue Wednesday morning. The event was a
joint effort between several organizations to make students aware
of the importance of bike safety. |
