Cutting the ribbon

Energy Networks managing director Wolfgang Bedorf, Premiere Lorne Calvert, SaskPower vice-president Roy Yeske and Nexans North America president Gordon Thursfield all join in to cut a copper ribbon at the official opening of the $20 million expansion of the Nexans Canada Inc. Weyburn facility. The Weyburn plant will serve as the seat of Nexans' expansion into the U.S. market, and will create up to 60 new jobs.

Bubble blowers

Sabrina Mainil and toddler Keyanna Swanson have some fun making bubbles at the Weyburn Co-operative Playschool teddy bear picnic, Wednesday. The picnic, which took place on the Souris Valley grounds, included plenty of games and food with parents, grandparents and siblings in attendance.
