Weyburn Midget Beavers player Cedric Wilson hits a
bunt to advance the base runners, during the first game of a
double-header against the Regina Orioles, Saturday at Tom Laing
Park. The Beavers took both games that afternoon, winning 15-9
and 12-5. Spectators are welcome at all Midget Beavers games,
free of charge. |

Grace United board chairman Vic Wiebe, architect Dave
Edwards and building committee chair John Lawrence can rest a
little easier now that the construction of this addition to the
church is complete. The grand reopening of the church took place
Sunday, with a pancake breakfast, giant ribbon cutting, special
service and fellowship afterwards. The addition and renovation
of the church's altar cost $1.125 million. |
