Just a little tap

Weyburn Midget Beavers player Cedric Wilson hits a bunt to advance the base runners, during the first game of a double-header against the Regina Orioles, Saturday at Tom Laing Park. The Beavers took both games that afternoon, winning 15-9 and 12-5. Spectators are welcome at all Midget Beavers games, free of charge.

The finished project

Grace United board chairman Vic Wiebe, architect Dave Edwards and building committee chair John Lawrence can rest a little easier now that the construction of this addition to the church is complete. The grand reopening of the church took place Sunday, with a pancake breakfast, giant ribbon cutting, special service and fellowship afterwards. The addition and renovation of the church's altar cost $1.125 million.
