A wet way to spend Saturday night

Cody Rouse, Carly Schneider and Mike Glab hang out Saturday evening by the massive puddle covering the street at the corner of Douglas Road and Abells Bay in the northeast of Weyburn. The three had reported seeing other flooded streets that night, the result of a massive thunderstorm that enveloped the southeast corner of Saskatchewan on Saturday. Weyburn experienced rain, hail and lightning, but several other communities in the southeast, including Regina, received tornado warnings as well.

Divers readygo!

Competitors in the Girls 9 and 10, 100 Free category leap off the dive boards at the sound of the pistol during a large swim meet held at the Weyburn Leisure Centre on Saturday. Weyburn's own club, the Silver Seals, joined more than 200 swimmers from different clubs at this competition.
