The Red Wings bench stands up to congratulate their line-mates, who had just scored another goal against the Melville Millionaires, during SJHL preseason action at the Colosseum on Saturday night. The Wings defeated the visitors 12-3, following up on a 4-3 victory in Melville the night before.

Funny-looking crops this year

A pair of 50-foot metal wheat sheaf sculptures adorn the banks of the Souris River beside Highway No. 39 near the Soo Line Historical Museum. The sheafs were erected Thursday morning as part of a plan to revitalize the Riverfront Market area through erecting 12 wheat sheaf sculptures throughout Weyburn.
