High-level construction work

A crew of 55 workers busily pour concrete to continue raising the new set of grain condominiums at Weyburn Inland Terminal to its final height of 130 feet six inches. The final height was reached on Saturday morning, making it four feet higher than the condos next to it; the condos have a capacity of 1.1 million bushels of grain, bringing the terminal's total capacity to 4.2 million bushels. The crews had to pour the concrete 24 hours a day from Monday until Saturday; work will now begin on the floor and putting the roof and conveyor equipment in place. The condos will be ready for test fills in December, and for filling with grain in January, 2002.
